Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to LearningDale by schools and their authorised users.

Last updated 5 September 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms are an agreement between you and LearningDale Education Private Limited (“LearningDale”, “we”, “us”). By signing in or using LearningDale, you agree to these Terms. If you use LearningDale on behalf of a school, you represent that you are authorised to do so.

2. Eligibility and school-managed access

LearningDale is provided for participating schools. Accounts are generally provisioned by the school rather than through open public self-signup. Students, including minors, use LearningDale under their school’s arrangement.

3. Accounts and authentication

Access is typically authenticated with a school-registered mobile number and a one-time passcode. You must keep your device and codes reasonably secure and tell your school or LearningDale if you believe your access has been misused.

4. Permitted educational use

You may use LearningDale only for legitimate educational and school-administrative purposes authorised by your school, in line with these Terms and applicable law.

5. User responsibilities

  • Use LearningDale only with accounts and roles assigned to you
  • Do not share one-time codes or attempt to access another person’s account
  • Review educational material you are responsible for before publishing it to students
  • Do not upload content you are not authorised to use

6. School and institution responsibilities

Schools decide who receives access, how classroom recording is used, and how generated revision is reviewed. Schools are responsible for obtaining any classroom consents or notices required by their policies and applicable law.

7. Classroom recordings and uploaded content

Teachers may record class audio and capture board or notes images to create revision material. Recordings and photos may include student voices or information visible in the classroom. Use these features only where the school has authorised them.

8. Communications and acceptable behaviour

School messaging is for educational and school communication. Do not use it to harass, bully, exploit, or share unlawful or inappropriate content.

9. Prohibited conduct

  • Attempting to break or probe the service, other accounts, or school data
  • Uploading malware or content that infringes others’ rights
  • Using LearningDale for advertising, tracking, or non-educational commercial purposes
  • Misrepresenting your identity or role

10. AI-generated educational content

LearningDale uses automated and AI systems to help create transcripts, notes and revision material. Generated content can be incomplete or incorrect. Teachers should review material before it is published to students.

11. No guarantee of educational accuracy

LearningDale does not guarantee that generated revision, quizzes or related material is complete, exam-aligned, or free from error. The school and teacher remain responsible for what is taught and published to students.

12. Teacher and school oversight

Where the product provides a review step, teachers should use it before students rely on generated revision. Schools should train staff on classroom recording and publishing practices.

13. Intellectual property

LearningDale and its software, branding and original platform content are owned by LearningDale Education Private Limited or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the LearningDale platform to the school or user.

14. Licence for school- and user-provided content

The school or user retains ownership of content they are authorised to upload or record. They grant LearningDale the limited rights necessary to host, process, transform, transcribe, generate derivative educational material from, store, and display that content for providing the service to the school and its authorised users. We do not claim ownership of a school’s original educational content merely because it is uploaded.

15. Copyright and infringement reporting

If you believe content on LearningDale infringes copyright, contact privacy@learningdale.com with enough detail for us to identify the material and the rights you assert.

16. Service availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue features. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

17. Suspension and termination

Schools may disable user access. LearningDale may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, other users, or to comply with law, and will typically coordinate with the school where the account is school-managed.

18. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. It forms part of how we operate the service together with these Terms.

19. Disclaimers

LearningDale is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis for educational use. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that generated educational content will meet any particular exam or curriculum outcome.

20. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, LearningDale is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or teaching time, arising from use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount paid to LearningDale for the school’s use of the service during the twelve months before the claim, or a modest amount if no fees were paid, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

21. Indemnity

If you use LearningDale on behalf of a school, the school agrees to defend and indemnify LearningDale against claims arising from the school’s misuse of the service, unauthorised recording, or content the school or its users were not entitled to provide, except to the extent caused by LearningDale’s wilful misconduct.

22. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without prejudice to mandatory protections that cannot be waived.

23. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means the school and users accept the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.
